Day 1. April 9th, 2012: Got to use my Palmolive Fresh sponge kit today. Super excited to test out this product. I also sniffed the sponge, smells nice & new :) The soap smells nice (Naturally I sniff the top of the Palmolive bottle as I open it). The soap reminds me of spring and a fruit-not sure what 'exact' scent but thats what I thought of when I smelled it. The pan I washed first was a non-stick (black coating) style frying pan. We had cooked a gumbo style meal in it (Kielbasa, sauce, pasta, etc). Cleaned the pan great! Let's see how the sponge smells tomorrow. (I rinsed the sponge with hot water, rung it out and let it air dry).
Day 2, April 10th, 2012: Sponge was dry this morning-smells like it did yesterday! New! Cleaned Tuna Helper off a non-stick pan. Cleans great still. Let's see how the sponge is holding up tomorrow (and smelling).
Day 3, April 11th, 2012: Last night was apparently a busy one, I totally forgot to rinse the sponge out and let it air dry last night. It was wet when I used it today, but when I sniffed it, it still smelled clean. I was a little surprised, especially since last night I cleaned up Tuna Helper. So far this product is meeting up to my standards, I use a dishwasher but I also hand clean a lot of dishes! I am always looking for new products, anything to make the job easier & better to do.
Day 4, April 12th, 2012: Sponge is holding up great! I decided to see how long it will go wet before it starts to smell mil-dewy/moldy. So I will no longer be rinsing or drying the sponge out the night of use. Let's push this soap/sponge to the max limits and see how well it will continue to smell great and work. Well the sponge still smells like the first day I used it. Normally by this point most sponges start to carry a scent of the things it has been used to clean but so far this sponge is still going strong. It's really taking on the challenge.
Day 5, April 13th, 2012: Sponge is still kicking it out! I just washed a pan & my daughters highchair tray. I used it to clean eggs, blueberry pancakes and syrup up. Sponge still smells fresh, holding together really well. Keep in mind I stopped rinsing and drying the sponge out so it stays wet throughout the night until the next time I use it.
Day 6, April 14th, 2012: I am really impressed by this soap! Palmolive has made a great product. I am really enjoying it. The soap works great to cut through grease on my pans and at the same time keep the sponge clean and smelling fresh.
Day 7, April 14th, 2012: Today is the last day of my 7 day review. The Palmolive Fresh soap is a really great product that will clean your dishes and keep your sponges or whatever you use to wash dishes with, cleaner than without using this product. I have a few coupons for this product-if anyone wants me to send you a coupon for FREE comment or let me know :)
I am writing this blog on April 23rd, 2012 and the sponge still smells great. I wanted to wait a few days after my 7 day review to see how well it is doing. The sponge is now a little bit 'slimy' feeling but that is because it has stayed wet since I stopped rinsing it out in Day 4 of my 7 Day review. The amazing part is that the sponge still smells great considering how wet it has stayed. Normally I soak a sponge in hot water and put it in the microwave for about 30 seconds or so to clean it and kill the germs. I haven't done any of that since I started using this product, and I use it daily. I highly recommend any viewers I have or readers to give this product a try. I am happy I was able to try this product out, it was a great opportunity for me and I have enjoyed reviewing it.
